    Manage the planning, positioning and marketing of pressure support ventilation products to ensure the Americas business objectives are met. The successful candidate will meet the requirements below, be a team player with the flexibility to change assignments as business conditions require, and have the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm internally and externally.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build strong working relationships within the Americas (U.S., Canada & Latin America) commercial organization, global innovation & product development teams & with key external customers through influential leadership in order to understand their market drivers, business models, reimbursement systems, opportunities & needs.
    • Is proactive and pre-emptive with required Respiratory Care-related new product development projects to address and resolve issues in a timely manner pending input from the Americas commercial organization and key stakeholders within the organization.
    • Drive activities to create demand for assigned products.
    • Plan, manage and coordinate the introduction of new products into the Americas market including formulation of marketing communication plans, launch production volume ramp plans, product training materials and post-launch surveillance.
    • Work with the Respiratory Care SBU team to develop and deliver training content for the sales force at the regional, area, and national levels. Presentations must be dynamic, impactful, memorable, and include key market and competitive insights that the sales team can use with customers.                                  
    • Provide company Sydney with market intelligence/research, feedback from the field on product launches, acceptance & market conditions.
    • Participate in the budget process in collaboration with Sr. Dir. Product Marketing, Americas & the Americas commercial team members.  
    • Analysis and distribution of information on competitors internally to sales force and others within company.
    • Analysis of supply and demand – responsible for consolidation of Americas forecasting of entire product range. Analysis of sales by product and key accounts; regular monthly reporting of strategic and operational activities and financial results to senior management.  Preparation of annual and quarterly budgets for respiratory care product range.
    • Complete and maintain strategic pricing and positioning plan for product and actively work to maximize company margins.

     

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering or health science from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.

     

    Min. Experience: Five-plus (5+) years experience with ventilation, oxygen therapy, or respiratory care medical devices AND three (3) years experience in product management, marketing and/or business development.

    • Communication Skills – Highly professional, able to listen and speak effectively, strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Bi-lingual/Muilti-lingual is a plus. (English with Spanish, Portuguese, French)
    • Global Business Acumen – Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to work successfully with globally dispersed teams across multiple time zones.
    • Must be willing to Travel (Domestic & International) up to 50% as needed. 
    • Organization & Effectiveness–Adept at prioritizing work to deliver value. Excellent multi-tasking, managing large projects & resources.
    • Leadership & Results Orientation – Motivated, self-starting, pre-emptive and pro-active driver.  Determined team player, self-responsible, enthusiastic & action oriented. Sets and achieves goals.

    Desirable:  Experience with Global Business Development, MBA or graduate degree in business, marketing, science, engineering, or healthcare.
