Letter from the President
The Medical Device industry is a refreshing place to be. It’s one of the few industries that has the “feel good factor”. An environment where you truly do believe that you are putting something good back into the world. This is what enters my mind everyday & gives me the enthusiasm & motivation to run Terry Associates. I am proud to work in this space & to act as a talent finder for some of the most well respected medical device manufacturers out there today. With every placement we are helping improve & in some cases save lives. Whether it’s placing an R&D engineer that is going to help design a new spinal implant or a marketing person that is going to help take to a market a new heart valve throughout the US & Global markets, our goal is to find the best person possible that can meet our client’s ideal profile.
We are a Medical Device match maker. We take great pride in putting together happy marriages. Our goal is to not just find talented people for open positions. It is to put together a fit, a happy marriage that is going to be a “win win” for both parties. If there is no long term Gevity in the fit, then l would rather start the search again than risk putting both parties together & have a situation where they are filing for divorce several weeks down the line. The medical device community is small & to be successful in this space you need to be able to build long term relationships with everyone that you work with.
I formed Terry Associates in 2005 after spending several years working for the number 1 executive search firm in the US heading up a Medical Device desk. From a very young age, l always wanted to become a specialist in something. The word specialist makes people feel comfortable. That’s why l chose to become a medical device search specialist, to make people feel at ease when working with us. Your career & the position you need filled is very important to us that’s why it is important that you leave it in the hands of a specialist, somebody that knows the industry inside & out and can truly help.
