    The Senior Product Manager develops and executes the strategic and tactical business plan for product enhancements and/or future devices used to treat heart failure. He/she leads all associated market research activities and, with this knowledge and technical expertise, guides the front-end of the market-driven development process. The Senior Product Manager will define unmet customer needs, quantify investment opportunities, develop and pitch investment proposals, articulate user requirements and serve as a core team member on cross-functional product development projects. He/she will also support new platform products in the clinical trial setting and have a co-leadership role in product commercialization, working alongside the Commercial Marketing organization to introduce new products into the market.
    Essential Job Functions:
    · Create and execute market research plans to identify customer needs and market requirements.
    · Define global product concepts, create marketing specifications, assess and quantify the business impact, and create initial marketing segmentation and positioning.
    · Support upstream work on derivative and next-generation (NG) platform projects. Develop recommendations for technical product direction, serve as marketing representative on core teams, and help drive voice of the customer (VOC) throughout the product development process to ensure global clinical and product requirements are incorporated.
    · Participate in market research related to product launch planning, branding and segmentation, positioning, market acceptance, etc.
    · Establish marketing plans, pricing strategies, and product positioning.
    · Inform and train US/International Field Representatives in the use of new techniques and products.
    · Lead clinical trial launches for platform products and co-lead new product launches with the Commercial Marketing team; assist with the development and execution of field support programs.
    · Drive the development of clinical trial, sales & educational tools and support materials by attaining a thorough understanding of the products, procedure, and competition.
    · Develop product forecasts and track business performance against objectives and forecasts; formulate new approaches and strategies as needed.
    · Establish and develop key internal and external relationships, including cross functional teams, field teams and thought leaders.
    · Travel in field regularly to assess customer and field opinions on existing products and overall market climate.
    Job Requirements:
    • BA/BS required, Masters degree a plus
    • 2-5 years of successful related business experience, including marketing, consulting, sales and/or product management experience.
    • Strategic, critical thinking and analytical skills for structured problem-solving.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Emotional maturity to handle ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
    • Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to sell recommendations.
    • Demonstrated success collaborating with various internal and external constituencies.
    • 3+ years experience in medical device, biotech or pharmaceutical industry
    • Product management and/or marketing experience
    · Demonstrated success in working in a matrix organization
